What's already happening: The City of Puyallup is working hard to get the word out about how to keep the city's waterways clean. A recent phone survey of City residents is helping city staff design future programs concerning water pollution, and the city is also offering training on such topics as natural yard care, creating a rain garden, and proper use of pesticides and fertilizers. Programming also includes guidance on how to conduct nonpolluting charity car wash events, how to proroperly dispose of pet waste, and how local businesses can reduce their environmental impacts.
