What's already happening: In the face of increasing water resource challenges, Kitsap County Surface and Stormwater Management Program (SSWM) protects people, property, and the environment by addressing flooding and water pollution. Owners of residential, commercial, and industrial properties in unincorporated Kitsap County pay one of the lowest annual stormwater fees in western Washington; yet our comprehensive, multi-agency approach to stormwater management is held up as a regional model.
