What's already happening: Bellingham places a high value on protecting groundwater, stormwater and surface water, which ultimately flows into nearby streams, lakes and Bellingham Bay. To help protect these resources, the City of Bellingham strives for a comprehensive approach to stormwater management, including local source control of pollutants, treatment facilities, and low-impact development strategies for capital projects and retrofits.
